Personal Training

Personal training sessions designed for dancers aim to enhance strength and address any weaknesses that may impact movement and performance. During these sessions, dancers will not only engage in targeted strength training exercises but also receive education on the purpose behind each exercise, ensuring a deeper understanding of how these activities contribute to their overall dance abilities. With hands-on guidance, trainers will ensure that each exercise is performed optimally, maximizing its benefits. At the end of each session, dancers will receive a personalized exercise program, allowing them to continue their progress independently at home. 

 

Sessions offer flexibility, catering to individuals seeking one-on-one attention or groups of dance friends looking to add an element of fun to their training. While scheduling an assessment session is optional, it is highly recommended as it provides a comprehensive evaluation, enabling the creation of a more precise and effective exercise plan tailored to each dancer's unique needs.

Assessment | $75

Performance assessment including strength, flexibility, technique, and 3 performance aspects of your choosing. personalized exercise program established and provided. Approx 45 minutes

Training Session | $45

Follow-up sessions after assessment, exercise performance will be assessed and performed, program progressed appropriately. Approx 45 minutes

Reassessment | $60

Performance assessment will be performed again and directly compared so dancer/parent can see areas of progress. Updated exercise program will be provided. approx 30-45 minutes.

Performance Package | $170

Assessment, 2 training sessions, and reassessment. Session timeline can be scheduled to meet the needs of the dancer. Save 25% with package.

Pointe Readiness Assessment

Ballet is a demanding art form that requires both grace and strength, yet it comes with a significant risk of injury, particularly musculoskeletal ones. An estimated 80% of ballet dancers sustain injuries each year, which can often be attributed to muscle fatigue and improper technique. These risks are magnified for ballerinas engaging in pointe dancing, where the physical demands are even greater. 

 

To mitigate these risks, the pointe readiness assessment has become an essential tool. This research-based evaluation measures a dancer's strength, balance, and technique to determine their readiness for the rigorous demands of pointe work. By establishing a baseline with this assessment, dancers can embark on pointe training with a focus on injury prevention. It is highly recommended that all aspiring pointe dancers undergo this evaluation to ensure they are adequately prepared for the challenges ahead.

Assessment | $75/$90

A pointe readiness assessment form created with the most up to date reasearch including technique, body mechanics assessment, and special tests to ensure that students have the necessary strength and mobility to safely start practicing en pointe and reduce the risk of injury. 


Students will be provided a score rating to help in decision making for most appropriate placement in pre-pointe vs pointe class.

 
Option for individualized exercise program available

Training Session | $45

Exercise program performance will be evaluated, program progressed and performed within session, updated program provided to dancer. approx 45 min

Performance Review

Virtual Review | $50

Submit a video of your dancers solo or group performance for a strength review. You will receive a voiced over copy of the performance (similar to competitions adjudications) and a 5 exercise program to address movements specific to the performance. 

In Person Review | $75

In person performance review your dancers solo or group performance. Receive real time comments and practice. 5 Exercise program will be established with the dancer and provided. 45 minutes session
