My Story
From the Hoosier State to the Mitten State, I am a lifelong dancer on a mission to share my passion with the world. With over two decades of experience under my ballet, tap, jazz, clogging, and lyrical shoes I can’t imagine a life without the dance community.
When I’m not chasing after my energetic 1.5-month-old daughter or enjoying a day outside, you can find me constantly learning new ways to elevate the services I provide in the physical therapy clinic and the dance studio.
Thriving in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment, I'm excited to work with your dancers and help them reach new heights.

My Approach
During my 6 years as an orthopedic physical therapist, I have worked with a few dancers to help them return to competition after injuries. While working with these dancers I recognized a gap between the training provided in the dance studio and the strength and conditioning required to come back after or prevent another injury.
In the therapy clinic, my knowledge of dance is imperative in providing the highest level of care for someone looking to return to such a specific and demanding activity. In contrast, while working with dancers in the studio I utilize basic strength concepts from my physical therapy education to optimize what my dancers share on stage.
Let me bridge that gap for your dancer with To The Pointe Performance. Together we will look for areas of weakness generally and during dance-specific movements like technique, jumps, and turns. I will address the weaknesses with specific exercise that is tailored to help your dancer meet their specific goals. Once we have the strength addressed we can take the dance moves, break them down piece by piece, then work on building back up to the full movement.
